When supplying or selling flower vases with an advertising sticker, there is an obligation to point out to the customer that the vases may not be placed in cemeteries where the bylaws prohibit the distribution and display of advertising. This was decided by the 9th Civil Senate of the Koblenz Higher Regional Court in a recently published decision (decision of January 28, 2019, Az. 9 W 648/18). The complainant had offered cemetery vases with his advertising stickers on his business premises to take away free of charge and on the Internet at a price of only € 1. On May 25, 2016, the Trier Regional Court sentenced him to refrain from doing so in cemeteries in which the cemetery statutes allow the distribution and installation of
