RWTH Aachen IT Center

In addition to providing central information technology services the IT Center is involved in basic research and, particularly, in application-oriented research projects in Computational Science & Engineering. We focus on aspects of high-performance computing and methods for the visual analysis of technological-scientific data. Our research is characterized by interdisciplinary collaboration with departments, institutes, and research groups at RWTH Aachen and at Forschungszentrum Jülich as well as research institutions worldwide and partners from business and industry. In particular, our research activities are closely integrated with those of the "Parallel Efficiency“ and "Immersive Visualization" cross-sectional groups in the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance section
